In 1981, he joined with two other local lawyers to form the Walker, Apgar and Gregory Firm. In 1983, he formed David D. Walker, P.C., which continues to the present.  Mr. Walker was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1973; admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia in 1985; admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina in 1989; and was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States in 1994.
